OFFICE 21

This 120 square-meter, L-shaped office plus showroom benefits from plenty of natural daylight through the curtain walls. The payoff, however, is increased solar heat gain from the west-facing curtain wall thereby increasing the thermal energy in the space. To minimize this and reduce cooling loads, we implemented several practical techniques for solar gain reduction.

We wanted the showroom space to feel like an art gallery - albeit one that showcases doors and porcelain tiles instead of paintings.

An aged barn table coupled with boho chairs stands out against the jute rug, which will be made especially for the shop. The Arm Chair blends blackened steel arms wrapped in a natural cord; contrasting the strength of the braces below.
